( The chapter opens with a shot of Tempura, it cuts to a shot looking at tenebris back as he sits and faces Yggdrasil) 

Tenebris: its been so long since the last time I've heard your voices. I don't even know if you can  still hear me. But I wanted to say I'm sorry. I relied on you so much more then I knew. I should have realized sooner. we don't know what we really have...until its gone. ( it shows he's sitting in front of 6 graves, 3 with the black broken rings on them) (Tenebris eyes glow light blue and a knife on a chain flies towards him but he catches it and throws it back. ) I thought it would take longer for you to find me. (his eyes glow again and he jumps up and back as several bolts of energy hit the ground where he was. he lands on his feet and music starts playing around him) 

Tenebris: (stands and listens. three more bolts of energy come out of the forest and tenebris blocks them with his bandaged arm as Machi runs in and swipes with both axes at tenebris who dodges and jumps back. the chains fly out of the forest again and it wraps around Tenebris arm. Tenebris, grabs it and jumps up and stomps on the chain and Karri comes flying out out the forest at tenebris who doges out of the way and karri flies towards machi who puts the flat side of his axes out as karri spins and lands on the axes and machi redirects him back towards tenebris as karri eyes light up and he pulls the chain sending him flying towards tenebris who blocks his kick but slides back a good distance. Arthor comes flying down and slices at tenebris whose eyes light up and he disappears as Arthor slams onto the ground. ) 

Machi: where'd he go? (tenebris appears behind machi) 

Arthor: Behind you! (machi's eyes light up and he whips around and swipes at tenebris but he palm strikes him and sends him flying. Arthor and karri dodge out of the way and machi flies back into a tree)

(Arthor and karri look at tenebris who smiles and gets in a stance, and gestures to come at him. Arthor and karri look at each other and nod and arthor pulls out his violin bow and his eyes light up as karri's eyes spark with blue lightning. arthor starts playing and karri gets a green aura around him.  blue lightning starts sparking around karri as he dashes at tenebris at an insane speed) 

Tenebris: hmph. (karri throws his two daggers and tenebris whose eyes light up as karri pulls his daggers back and starts fighting tenebris up close. Tenebris dodges or blocks all his strikes. karri throws a dagger and tenebris side steps it but ulfer runs out of the forest and catches it in his mouth. both karri and ulfer run around tenebris and chain his arms together and they both try and hold tenebris arms down as machi runs in with the green aura behind him and his eyes bright red and he goes to punch tenebris whose eyes blaze blue as he grabs the electrified chains with his bandaged hand and the lighting gets absorbed. He pulls the chain and karri flies towards machi and he slams into him and they both fall over. he brakes his bandaged arm out of the chains and grabs the other chain that ulfer is pulling and rips it off. Arthor stops playing and grabs his sword by the handle and rushes at tenebris and starts slashing at him with both blades.  Tenebris tries to strike him but his hand gets knocked back by a bolt of orku from Lykoi and arthor actual lands a strike on his shoulder as tenebris backs up but lykoi doesn't let him recompose as he sends several more blast fly towards him. tenebris keeps dodging until ulfer jumps on him and bites his bandaged arm. Tenebris sees where the bolts of orku are coming from and he sees lykoi running through the trees. he kicks ulfer off of him and disappears. he reappears behind lykoi and punches him and sends him flying into the open. Tenebris walks out as the cut on his shoulder heals and the gang stand up next to each other all out of breath.) 

Tenebris: (starts clapping) that was some excellent teamwork. ambushing a stronger opponent levels the playing field. keeping him off balance and taking away his movement are also incredible strategies. well done. 

Arthor: well done? yeah right, even with all of us, we still only landed one clean hit. (they all put their weapons away) 

Tenebris: but you have to remember, you were not trying to kill me, you were trying to defeat me. there is a difference. even if you don't think so. orku ebbs and flows in a battle. If you were to truly go all out, you would be surprised how much stronger you are. 

Arthor: still not strong enough. 

Karri: But we did much better than last time. 

Machi: we don't talk about last time. 

Tenebris: anyway, that's enough for today. Jaeja will be here soon with more food I'm sure. we should be ready when he does. 

Karri: oh yeah Dinner time! 

(it cuts to tenebris out on a boat and a light shines and Jaeja's trader ship comes appears inside the barrier. ) 

Jaeja: (their boats stop next to each other) How's my favorite boat thief! (tenebris jumps over to his boat)

Tenebris: Your late, we almost ran out of food. 

Jaeja: how are ya. (gives him a handshake) 

Tenebris: Doing alright old friend. 

Jaeja: hearing that from you makes me seem ancient. 

Tenebris: (smiling) are you not?

Jaeja: (smiles) maybe we both are. 

(it cuts to them docking their ships) 

Karri: Jaeja! 

Jaeja: How's it going kid. think fast (he tosses a small box to him) 

Karri: (catches it and opens it and takes out a camera) what is this? 

Jaeja: a prototype from Chelliah. it freezes a moment in time and prints it for you to display. try it out. just put some orku in it and press the button on the top. 

Karri: (his eyes light up and he takes a picture of arthor and it takes a second to print and he grabs the paper and it shows a very bad picture of arthor. ) That's awesome! thanks! 

Jaeja: I won it at a wine tasting in Chelliah. they took a picture of me receiving the award. best tasting wine in the 7 kingdom powers. not to brag. 

Machi: you wouldn't happen to have some with ya?  

Jaeja: unfortunately I did not bring my most expensive world famous wine. 

Machi: dang it. 

Jaeja: but I did get your favorite. (pulls off a cover from a barrel with a rose on it) 

Machi: Rose Ales! your the best Jaeja. 

Jaeja: It's what I do big man. 

Ulfer: "Barks"

Jaeja: ah, didn't forget you this time. (he grabs a piece of meat from a chest of ice and throws it to ulfer who grabs it and starts eating it) 

(the gang grab several barrels and crates of food and start walking back into town) 

Jaeja: that's almost all of it. 

Johsef: " chirp " 

Jaeja: hello there johsef. um...here (he gives him a tiny box to carry)  

Johsef: " Chirp "

Jaeja: thank you very much. 

Tenebris: thank you again for delivering some food. I wish I didn't have to have you do that. 

Jaeja: it really is no problem tenebris, you didn't exactly tell me why you cant leave the barrier.  but knowing your past endeavors, I could take a guess. (they look at the boys walking away with the crates goofing round) 

Jaeja: they've grown up so fast. 

Tenebris: yeah well the temporal barrier will do that. 

Jaeja: even more than that, I mean, its only been a couple of weeks since I last saw them, but I can tell they have gotten stronger. 

Tenebris: its incredible the growth that happens when you have such strong motivation. how about you join us for dinner tonight? 

Jaeja: I thought you'd never ask. (they start walking off and it cuts to Tenebris setting the meal down on his table that he has clearly added onto to fit everyone. tenebris sits down)

Tenebris: alright, who wants to say grace? (karri raises his hand) besides karri. 

Jaeja: I'm the guest here so I might as well. Creator above, thank you for this meal, let it strengthen these young men, and give them the energy to grow. bless us as we share in fellowship. thank you creator. 

all: Thank you creator. (they start eating)

Tenebris: so, any news to report.

Jaeja: nothing yet, it's been quiet since Egran. it's like the whole underworld went silent. 

Arthor: anything about Raxis?

Jaeja: ....no.  

Arthor: how long has it been since Egran? 

Jaeja: I'm not exact on the time but it's been a few months since you left for the island. 

Arthor: a few months!? 

Machi: so your saying its been 4 years on this island and only a couple months everywhere else? 

Tenebris: the barrier around Tempura alters the speed of time on the inside, that's how nothing can get in, otherwise....

Lykoi: that is concerning. 

Tenebris: well you wont have to worry about it, as long as you have a key blade you can freely pass back and forth through the barrier.  

Lykoi: what is this key blade? does it open the barrier? 

Tenebris: no, the barrier isn't something you could just turn off. Yggdrasil, the massive tree in the middle of the island produces the barrier from the gem in the middle of it. to pass through it's barrier, you need something of equal power. each blade is made from a piece of the great tree and contains its energy. its like a covering you put on to pass through it. 

(everyone is looking at him) 

Tenebris: I'll explain it later. 

(Johsef jumps up on top of Ulfer's head up to the table) 

Johsef: "Chirp" 

(machi passes the cooked fish over to johsef who buries his head in the fish) 

Jaeja: There was something weird though. Some kind of sickness was going around the village. but it never lasted more than a few hours at a time.

Tenebris: some kind of food poisoning or something?

Jaeja: that's what I believed, but I called in a doctor to find out for sure, but they said nothing was wrong. Now that I'm thinking about it, it all started after he showed up.

Tenebris: He?

Jaeja: A Traveler, He showed up at my tavern a few weeks back. he asked if I knew about anything about the Tempurian islands. 

Tenebris: what did you say? 

Jaeja: I told him there was an ancient kingdom and a curse that forbids travel to them, all the usual stuff. 

Tenebris: so what's so different about this guy? 

Jaeja: The way he asked, it was like he knew them already. 

Tenebris: (stops eating) 

Jaeja: sailors know the curse, locals know them as "the islands". but he called them that. The Tempurian islands.

Tenebris: was he a Legionary? 

Jaeja: he had a mask and armor on but not of a legion I know. 

(everyone stops eating)

Tenebris:  what else did he say? 

Jaeja: Nothing, after I told him about the islands, he left without buying a drink or anything. 

Tenebris: (looks over at the boys worried)

Arthor: Kongur? 

Jaeja: couldn't tell for sure. I made sure to wait a few days after he left to bring supplies, so no one could follow. that's why I was late. 

Tenebris: (looks over and sees Nikki standing outside the window at night time. She looks over at something. 

Karri: Tenebris are you alright? 

(Tenebris gets up from the table and runs outside) 

Machi: aye, where you going there's still food to eat?

 (Tenebris looks at where Nikki was but she's gone. he looks where she was looking and a man with a skull mask in a black cloak is standing with a scythe in his hand looking at the remains of the Tempurian town. )

Man: Death...it comes for everyone. peasants, kings, immortal knights...the Tempurians. (he looks over at tenebris) It truly fills me with sorrow to say...Death has come for you. (The Masked mans eyes glow light blue. )
